Music programmer Gaynor Martin leaves radio after 25 years
Gaynor Martin has left Global after over 25 years working in radio.
She began her career at Choice FM 102.2 in Birmingham (now Capital) as a part time receptionist. After covering virtually every job there is to do in radio, Gaynor left the business as a music programmer for Capital XTRA and Capital XTRA Reloaded.
Speaking about her time in radio, Gaynor said: “I’ve had so many amazing moments in radio, it would be impossible to choose. The one thing that has always stood out though, is the people.
“I’ve made lifelong friends along the way, and I’m pleased that I played a part in helping others on my journey. I’ve had some of the best mentors and bosses, and there’s always been more laughter than tears!
“Leaving Global was not an easy decision, I’ve always been proud to work for Ashley, but it was time for a change, and it’s not goodbye, it’s see you later!”
Gaynor is now Marketing & Events Officer for Cleone Foods, who produce Island Delight Patties – the largest patty manufacturer in the UK.
