Another win for Roman Kemp at the annual TRIC Awards

The Television Radio and Industries Club 54th Awards ceremony took place at Grosvenor House on Park Lane on Tuesday afternoon.

Newly appointed TRIC President, Rob Rinder hosted the ceremony with co-host Judi Love and there was a performance by Hits Radio breakfast co-host Fleur East.

The event saw the biggest names in television, radio and online broadcasting come together to celebrate Britain’s favourite programmes, presenters and personalities as voted for by the public.

Once again Roman Kemp picked up the Radio Personality award. The win is not the first time for him, last year he won Best Radio Programme for his Capital Breakfast Show, and Best Radio Personality, for the 4th year in a row.

Julie Hartley Brewer won Best Radio Programme this year for her TalkTV/Radio Breakfast show, while GB News Breakfast picked up the Best Multichannel News Programme and That Peter Crouch Podcast won the Best Podcast category.

James Whale was awarded the first ever Recognition Award for his outstanding work and dedication to radio, TV and online. He was suprised with the award by presenter Lizzie Cundy last month.

Each year TRIC supports two charities – this year TRIC is raising money for Parkinson’s UK and the 45 Aid Society.
