Victoria Easton Riley named Head of Audio and Events at BBC Scotland

Victoria Easton Riley has been appointed as the new Head of Audio and Events at BBC Scotland.
She joins from Bauer Media where she is currently Director of Content for Scotland and Northern Ireland.
In her new role, Victoria will lead the editorial direction of BBC Radio Scotland’s programming and commissioning, as well as oversee key production areas including speech, music, entertainment, and events.
She will also be responsible for the digital development of BBC Scotland’s audio services as the broadcaster continues to expand on-demand, visual and format innovation. She will join the BBC Scotland Executive Team.

“She’s a brilliant creative leader with a deep understanding of the sector, a laser focus on audiences and engagement and a commitment to supporting career development.”
Victoria began her radio career at the BBC and has held production roles at Radio 1 and 1Xtra, including work on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw, The Official Chart, and programmes hosted by Fearne Cotton and Scott Mills.
She was also previously Station Sound Producer and Breakfast Show Producer for Real Radio Scotland, then Senior Producer for GMG’s radio stations in Scotland.
Since joining Bauer in 2019, she has led content strategy and growth across stations including Clyde 1 and Forth 1.
She is a Trustee of The Radio Academy and was awarded a Fellowship in 2022. A strong advocate for gender equality, she previously led Bauer’s Women in Programming initiative.
