Absolute Radio and Hits Radio partner with Newbury’s music racedays

Newbury Racecourse has announced that Absolute Radio and Hits Radio will become title partners for its 2025 Party in the Paddock live music series.

The new partnership with Bauer Media will support four major music events between July and September, combining a full day of horse racing with live evening performances from some of the UK’s biggest music acts.

The series opens with Weatherbys Super Sprint Day on Saturday 19 July featuring Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Ella Henderson. Clean Bandit headline Visit Malta Hungerford Day on Saturday 16 August, and James Bay performs at Dubai Duty Free International Weekend on Saturday 20 September.

A new Friday raceday has also been added for the first time, with tribute act Bjorn Again playing live after racing on 16 August.

The collaboration builds on Bauer Media’s existing involvement with Newbury’s Summer Evening Series. It also marks the first time that Absolute Radio and Hits Radio have served as title partners for the Party in the Paddock events.

Bauer Media said: “Absolute Radio and Hits Radio are renowned for playing the biggest and best music and the Racecourse’s Party in the Paddock series has the same in store for fans this summer.”

Harry Walklin, Marketing Director at Newbury Racecourse, added: “Welcoming two of Bauer’s leading brands to the series as title partners only builds anticipation.”
