BBC radio unveils full Glastonbury 2025 broadcast plans across networks

BBC radio will deliver extensive coverage of Glastonbury 2025 with live shows, exclusive interviews and music specials across Radio 6 Music, Radio 1, Radio 2, 1Xtra and Radio 4.
From Wednesday 25 June to Monday 30 June, BBC Radio 6 Music becomes the radio home of the festival with a six-day All Day Glastonbury schedule. The station will broadcast 58 hours of live programming from Worthy Farm, featuring sets, interviews and highlights.
Nick Grimshaw will open coverage live from the gates on Wednesday morning, with more shows on-site from Deb Grant, Nathan Shepherd, Lauren Laverne, Craig Charles, Jamz Supernova, Huw Stephens, Steve Lamacq and others.
Radio 1 begins its live output with Jack Saunders on Thursday 26 June, followed by a simulcast takeover of the BBC Introducing Stage by Danny Howard, Arielle Free and Sarah Story.
On Friday, Greg James will broadcast the Radio 1 Breakfast Show live from the festival for the first time. Sam MacGregor, Danni Diston and DJ Target will present weekend programming from Worthy Farm across Radio 1 and 1Xtra.
Radio 2’s Glastonbury schedule includes Jo Whiley presenting a preview show on Monday 9 June with guests Jake Shears and Jessie Ware.
Over the weekend, Dermot O’Leary and Zoe Ball will be live from the festival, and Edith Bowman will host a Saturday night highlights show. Jo Whiley returns on Sunday and Monday evenings to reflect on the weekend.
On Radio 4, Woman’s Hour will broadcast live from Glastonbury on Friday 27 June. Anita Rani will present a special edition featuring guests and discussion around the role of women in music.
BBC Sounds will offer on-demand festival content including mixes, live sets and podcast specials. Annie Macmanus and Nick Grimshaw’s Sidetracked by Glastonbury returns with episodes released throughout June, including one recorded live on site.
