Global Player arrives in BMW and MINI dashboards

BMW and MINI drivers can now access Global’s radio, podcasts and playlists directly through their vehicle’s built-in infotainment system.
A new partnership between Global and BMW Group UK brings the Global Player app into the native app stores of compatible BMW and MINI models, allowing listeners to stream stations, rewind shows, catch up on programmes and browse thousands of podcasts without connecting a smartphone. Once signed in, users can move seamlessly between devices at home, at work or in the car.
More than one hundred and eighty thousand BMW and MINI vehicles on UK roads already support the new in-car app, with that number expected to pass three hundred thousand by the end of 2026.
Future models, including the all-new BMW iX3 powered by BMW Operating System X and forthcoming Neue Klasse vehicles, will also be compatible.
BMW’s Chris Hollis said the update offers customers easier access to the audio they enjoy through the existing infotainment controls. Stephen Toombs from Global said the partnership supports Global’s aim of making its audio available wherever audiences choose to listen.
Drivers of supported vehicles can install Global Player now via their car’s app store.
