PrepPad 2.0 launches to speed up radio show prep

PrepPad 2.0 has been launched by Radio Essentials to help presenters complete their show preparation quicker.

The platform brings news, travel, weather, celebrity updates, sport, music information and topical content together in one workspace, with results filterable by global, local or hyperlocal location as well as date range.

Radio Essentials says this can save broadcasters hours per show while improving accuracy and relevance.

The company says the platform is intended to adapt to individual working styles and to support community, commercial and independent broadcasters.

A walkthrough of the workflow is available at RadioEssentials.com, where presenters can see how the service operates in real time. A spokesperson said PrepPad 2.0 “brings together everything a presenter needs to prepare a compelling radio or podcast show in one fast, intuitive workspace.”

The next update, due in February 2026, will introduce social media automation. This will post regular content such as news, weather, sport and celebrity updates directly to users’ preferred platforms.
