AudioUK names Chris Baughen as CEO

AudioUK has appointed Chris Baughen as its new Chief Executive Officer, starting 30th March 2026.
The industry body, which represents podcast and audio producers including those working in radio and audiobooks, said the move comes as the sector continues to expand across radio, video podcasts and immersive formats.
Chris joins with more than 20 years’ experience across radio, streaming, digital audio and podcasting. He has previously held senior roles at Wondery, Spotify, Global and Deezer, where he worked across UK and international markets.
Under his leadership, AudioUK plans to strengthen its advocacy and policy work, expand member support and training, build partnerships across the creative industries and ensure the sector has a clear voice in national and international discussions.
Bernard Achampong, Chair of AudioUK, said: “Chris’s extensive experience in commercial podcasting, combined with his focus on intellectual property within our ecosystem, will help AudioUK lead the next phase of growth in podcasting and audio for the global marketplace.”
