BBC Radio Cymru 2 launches major contest

BBC Radio Cymru 2 has launched its biggest ever on-air competition, offering weekly prizes to listeners over the next month.
Diwrnod Gorau Erioed opens on 23 February and will run for four weeks, with a different prize available each week ranging from live events to sporting fixtures and television finals.
The first prize is a pair of tickets to see Wales take on Bosnia in the World Cup qualifiers. From 2 March, listeners can win tickets to see Lewis Capaldi and Katy Perry in Cardiff. A weekend pass for a family or group of four to Traitors yr Urdd in Pentre Ifan follows from 9 March, before two tickets to the Strictly Come Dancing 2026 final are offered from 16 March.
Presenters Lisa Gwilym and Rhydian Bowen Phillips are fronting the competition across the schedule.
Lisa said: “We’ve all had enough of the cold winter and the rain, and we’re ready to welcome the spring and summer – and on BBC Radio Cymru 2 there’s a chance for you to win the Best Day Ever!”
Rhydian added: “I can’t wait to lift the nation’s spirits with the Best Competition Ever!”
Listeners must text the missing word from a popular song played on programmes Monday to Thursday to enter. The station is also directing audiences to BBC Sounds and its social channels for further details.
