Fringe Radio to cover Edinburgh Festival

Fringe Radio will be on air every day during the Edinburgh Fringe 2026 with preview and review shows before and after the main festival dates.

The station, founded by ITV broadcaster Stuart Cameron, will cover a wide range of events including music, comedy, drama, special interest, and spoken word, aiming to feature as many of the nearly 4,000 shows as possible.

Programmes will be available worldwide on YouTube and broadcast on several other stations, with daily two-hour shows planned. The team will also produce video content for social media, including short clips and longer features.

Fringe Radio has secured a studio location at Radisson Blu on the Royal Mile, offering easy access for guests and performers. The presenting team includes Stuart McFarlane, Rob Robertson, Hugh Brown, and Stuart Cameron, all with backgrounds in national and regional broadcasting.

Stuart Cameron said the team intends to create a buzz with daily programmes, including a star interview and a Royal Mile Walk segment, meeting people promoting their shows and capturing the festival atmosphere.

Broadcasts will run from 5pm to 7pm each day, with additional show clips and special sessions recorded with acts during the festival period, broadcasting from 5 August to 31 August 2026.
