Sam Darlaston joins Radio 1 to host Early Breakfast

Former KISS FM presenter, Sam Darlaston has joined BBC Radio 1 to host the stations Friday morning Early Breakfast show throughout July.

Sam, who had been at KISS for 11 years and presented Weekend Breakfast since 2022, announced his departure from the station in a post on Instagram just over two weeks ago. He teased that he’d be “back on air soon, will let ya know where and when.”

This morning, Sam made his debut on Radio 1’s Early Breakfast, which he’ll host for the rest of the month.

It’s not the first time he has worked at the BBC as he joined the BBC Creator Lab in 2024 to work on some wildlife documentaries.
