Whisper to produce BBC’s The Hundred in 2026

Whisper has been chosen by the BBC to produce live and digital coverage of The Hundred cricket tournament in 2026.

This marks the first time Whisper will work with BBC Sport on The Hundred, covering eight live matches that feature both women’s and men’s double-headers, including the Finals at Lord’s on 16th August.

Production will be managed by Whisper Cymru from the Cymru Broadcast Centre in Cardiff, which is known for its advanced remote production capabilities.

The centre will provide dual live feeds and support regional media investment and local talent development in Wales.

Whisper will use an integrated approach, combining live broadcast with digital content to help the BBC reach wider and younger audiences across television and online platforms.

Rob Williams, Executive Producer at Whisper, said the team is proud to deliver The Hundred for the BBC and aims to bring high-energy storytelling to match the atmosphere at the grounds.

Whisper’s digital division will also create content tailored for BBC’s online and social channels. The in-house agency Chapter3 will handle design and graphics, using a contemporary 2D style to appeal to younger viewers while staying true to existing fans.

Alexander O’Hagan, Senior Digital Lead at Whisper, said the goal is to help the BBC engage new audiences and drive long-term viewer retention by combining live production with dedicated digital assets.
