Radio TechCon opens bursaries for 2026 delegates

Around one in ten Radio TechCon places will be reserved for delegates attending through its 2026 bursary scheme.

The scheme offers free entry to people interested in radio, audio, technology or engineering who face a barrier to attending the conference, including financial barriers or being from a background underrepresented in engineering.

Travel and accommodation support can also be provided where required, with applications open until 11.59pm on Sunday 1st November.

Radio TechCon takes place at IET London: Savoy Place on Monday 23rd November 2026 and brings together people working across radio, audio technology and broadcast engineering.

Aradhna Tayal Leach from organiser TBC Media Ltd said: “Radio TechCon is for everyone, whether you are a seasoned engineer, returning to the industry after a break, transferring from a sister sector or brand new and finding out your options, we want you to be there!”

She added that people attending through previous bursary schemes have gone on to secure jobs through contacts made at the event.

The 2026 bursary scheme is supported by CGI, BFBS, Global, The Audio Academy, Brun Audio Consulting, Jamie Laundon, PlayIt Software, Bauer Media, News UK, Ann Charles Media, Clockhouse Media and an anonymous donor.

A new mini masterclass on time has also been announced for this year’s conference, looking at its role in making broadcast systems and technology work.

Applications can be made via the website.
