Former BBC Radio 2 Breakfast producer Jordan Hemingway joins Global

Former BBC Radio 2 Breakfast producer Jordan Hemingway has been appointed Deputy Managing Editor at Heart.

He re-joins Global after six years at the BBC, including three years on BBC Radio 2 breakfast, before which he was working across a number of shows at the corporation.

Jordan started his career at GMG Radio in 2009 and went on to produce breakfast at Real Radio North West (and later Heart), was on the ReelWorld Radio Academy 30 under 30 list in 2017 and started producing OJ Borg’s overnight show on BBC Radio 2 in 2018 with Audio Always.

Writing on social media, Jordan said: “Really looking forward to being back at Global at such an exciting and record breaking time… can’t wait to get started.”

Richard Steel, Managing Editor at Heart, added: “Welcome to the team Jordan! Can’t wait to get started.”

He former colleagues at BBC Radio 2 have also wished him well, including Jeremy Vine, who said “Superb appointment! Our loss xx”.
