Alex Dyke’s Bubble Gum and Cheese returns with Isle of Wight Radio Retro

Alex Dyke is back on local radio with a new weekend show on Isle of Wight Radio Retro.

The presenter will host Bubble Gum and Cheese every Saturday and Sunday from 10am, forming part of the launch schedule for the new sister station to Isle of Wight Radio.

The service will focus on music from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, alongside a lineup of presenters already known to Island listeners.

Weekday output includes Jenni Costello on breakfast, while Nick Osborne takes on afternoons with his Drive Home programme, featuring a regular Dinnertime Disco segment. Evenings continue with The Nightshift from 10pm, centred on soul and funk.

At weekends, Andy Knight will host the morning show, with Mark Dodson presenting The Rewind on Sunday evenings.

Alongside its music output, the station will carry local news, travel updates and information about events across the Isle of Wight.

The launch marks an expansion of the Isle of Wight Radio brand, adding a dedicated retro format while maintaining a strong focus on local content and familiar voices.
