GlitterBeam expands 30 Hours for a Rainbow charity radiothon

GlitterBeam is expanding its 30 Hours for a Rainbow radiothon following its first event last year, which raised more than £5,000 for charities.
This year, it will run from 11am on Saturday 27th June to 7pm on Sunday 28th June, extending to 32 continuous hours of programming.
The event will air on DAB and stream via YouTube and social platforms, with founders Eugenio Ceriello and Michael Walton-Dalzell leading the full broadcast.
A wider team of presenters will join throughout, with output changing every two hours to keep the schedule varied.
Listeners and viewers will also be encouraged to take part through activity linked to venues and events across the UK.
The weekend will feature live studio performances, interviews with guests from entertainment and community sectors, and a live on-air murder mystery involving Murder Actually.
Eugenio said: “This is about building on what we proved in December. We’re taking the radiothon to another level: more hours, more content, and a bigger footprint.”
Michael added: “Keeping a live broadcast going for 32 hours is demanding, but it creates a real sense of shared experience.”
Further details on participating venues, supported charities and how to donate will be released ahead of the event.
