Go Radio offers £25,000 in Lipton trophy hunt push

A £25,000 reward is being offered on-air to help recover a stolen historic trophy linked to Glasgow.
Go Radio has launched a campaign urging listeners to come forward with information after the Lipton Trophy was taken from Glasgow’s Riverside Museum. The station is using its platform to drive awareness and encourage contact with Police Scotland as efforts continue to locate the missing silverware.
The trophy is closely tied to Sir Thomas Lipton, who was born in the Gorbals, the same area where the station is based. The local connection has prompted the station to position the campaign as a community effort to return a piece of Glasgow’s heritage.
Managing Director Rochelle Clemente said: “Sir Thomas Lipton is part of the Gorbals’ story, and this trophy belongs to Glasgow’s heritage. We’re proud to be based here and we want our trophy back.”
Rochelle added that anyone with information that could help recover the item should contact Police Scotland, quoting incident number 0993.
The campaign is being promoted across Go Radio’s output as the station looks to engage listeners and support the investigation.
