Laura Pittson returns to Peterborough radio

Laura Pittson is joining Boomerang Radio as the station prepares to expand on DAB+.

Laura was heard across Peterborough on Hereward FM in the late 1990s and early 2000s, including as part of the breakfast show.

She later presented Classic Gold breakfast with Tony Blackburn and is described by Boomerang Radio as his longest serving co-presenter on a breakfast show.

Chris Tibbles, Boomerang Breakfast presenter and Head of Programming, said the station is adding to its presenter line-up as it builds a team of familiar local voices.

He said: “I have worked hard to build up a strong family of presenters at Boomerang Radio.”

Paul Jackson is also joining the station, having previously worked with Chris at Lite FM in Peterborough and more recently broadcasting across Huntingdon and the Ouse Valley.

David Mortimer is joining too, with previous on-air work across Huntingdon, St Neots, Peterborough, Northamptonshire, Ely and Wales.

Boomerang Radio launched online in October 2025 before joining the Peterborough DAB+ multiplex in January.

It is now preparing to launch on the Cambridge multiplex in June, extending its coverage across Cambridgeshire.
