Radio Caroline announces the death of King Charles

Radio Caroline has apologised after accidentally broadcasting a message claiming King Charles had died.
The station said the Obit procedure was activated following a studio error.
In a statement issued to RadioToday, Radio Caroline said the system incorrectly announced that “HRH the King had passed away” before the station went off air for 16 minutes.
The silence that followed alerted staff to the mistake, prompting engineers and presenters to restore normal programming and issue an on-air apology.
In its statement, the station said: “We apologise to HRH the King and to our listeners for any distress caused.”
The apology was signed by station manager Peter Moore.
The incident happened just after 2pm on Tuesday, and is available to listen to on Radiofail.
