Love Radio off-air after building collapse

Love Radio General Santos has announced all its staff are safe after an earthquake hit the studio building and took the service off-air.

The station shared an update on social media following the magnitude 7.8 earthquake which struck on Monday morning at 7:37am local time, saying the station had been affected by the unexpected situation.

The station said everyone from Love Radio and RH News FM was in good condition, while sending support to listeners and others affected by the quake.

In a message to its audience, the station said: “101.5 Love Radio commits solidarity with all those affected and hopes everyone is in a better situation.”

The post ended with a message of faith and reassurance for listeners, adding: “Stay Strong in faith mga Labs. Amping mga loves. Kita-kita ta puhon. Mubalik mi.”

The final line means the station expects to return, although no further details were given in the post about when normal operations will resume.
