Bill Padley returns to Radio Victory with Saturday afternoon show

Bill Padley is returning to Radio Victory to present a new Saturday afternoon show, starting 21 June.

Bill was just 17 when he first hosted breakfast on the original Victory and now returns more than 40 years later, joining a line-up that celebrates the station’s Portsmouth roots.

He’ll be playing classic tracks from his original time at the station and sharing stories from his long career as a radio presenter and music producer.

“Radio Victory gave me my start,” said Bill. “I learned everything there – from presenting to producing – and it set me up for the career I’ve had. Coming back now feels right. I’ve got a lifetime of stories to share.”

Since his first stint on Victory, Bill has worked across UK radio at stations including Radio Clyde, BBC London and Talk Radio Europe in Spain. He also co-wrote and produced major UK number one hits such as Whole Again for Atomic Kitten and That’s My Goal for Shayne Ward.

Programme Director Neil said the team was pleased to welcome Bill back. “He brings huge credibility, but also warmth and a brilliant sense of fun,” he said. “He’s part of Victory’s heritage.”

The revived Radio Victory continues to build its line-up with other original names such as Anton Darby and Nino Firetto, plus experienced broadcasters including Steve Madden and Alan Dedicoat.
