Tide Lines singer fronts STV Radio show

STV Radio will air its first artist takeover next month, with Tide Lines singer Robert Robertson hosting a special Scottish music programme.

Scotland’s Soundtrack will be broadcast from 7pm on Sunday 1 March, featuring a playlist curated by Robert Robertson spanning new Scottish artists, modern favourites and established classics.

Robert revealed the show while appearing on the station’s breakfast programme with Ewen Cameron and Cat Harvey, where he also performed Tom Petty’s Free Fallin’. He told listeners: “I’ve never hosted a radio show in my life before, but it sounds like you’ve got some very friendly listeners.

“They can get in touch with requests for my show and I’ll also fit in some of my own favourites. Maybe I’ll play some Tide Lines songs too… if the STV Radio bosses let me!”

The programme coincides with Tide Lines’ 10th anniversary year, ahead of a headline show at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro in September.

David Treasurer, Programme Director at STV Radio, said: “Scotland’s Soundtrack on STV Radio will pay tribute to these icons, as well as giving a platform to the Scottish stars of tomorrow.”

STV Radio launched in January and is available on DAB, STV Player, stvradio.co.uk and smart speakers.
