Source FM’s regular Parklive event goes virtual
The next Source FM event Parklive will be held virtually due to the COVID-19 restrictions which are currently in place.
The community radio station, which serves parts of Cornwall, says it will bring local music directly to the homes of people in Falmouth, in Cornwall, throughout the UK and across the waters.
A fundraiser running alongside the event will be a chance for people to donate to The Women’s Centre Cornwall via the GoFundMe page Parklive Stands Against Violence.
“Music can help us keep sane at difficult times. There are so many talented performers out there doing such amazing work. We decided that the show must go on,” said Simon Neild, producer of Parklive.
Ivor Richards, technical magician in chief for Parklive adds: “We will stream Facebook performances on to our YouTube channel, all coordinated from my home. A technical challenge which I am happy to take on.”
Parklive will be broadcast on Parklive Youtube Channel Sunday, 26th April from 12pm to 6pm featuring 3 Daft Monkeys, Sam Bradbury, Charlie Wingfield, Chris Hutchins, Danio, James Dixon, Val Baker, Charlie Louise, Minti Hindu, Helm DeVegas and Mog Jones.
