Sean Goldsmith gets Breakfast at Mansfield Radio

Sean Goldsmith is taking over the weekday breakfast show at Mansfield Radio from Monday 2 November, broadcasting between 7am and 10am.

The appointment follows the station’s recent rebrand and brings a presenter with more than 30 years of broadcasting experience to its morning schedule, including over 20 years working on breakfast programmes.

Sean started his broadcasting career on breakfast radio in Coventry before going on to work at stations including Peak FM, Hallam FM, Viking FM and the Bauer City 2 Network.

Speaking about his new role, Sean said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining Mansfield Radio and taking on the breakfast show.”

He added: “Mansfield and the surrounding area have a real sense of community, and I’m looking forward to getting to know listeners, hearing their stories, playing great music and bringing a bit of fun to their mornings.”

Programme Director Ian “Watko” Watkins welcomed the appointment, saying Sean’s experience across several radio brands would be an asset to the station.

Ian said: “Sean knows what makes great breakfast radio, and we’re confident he’ll bring plenty of personality, energy and creativity to the show.”

The move comes just weeks after Mansfield 103.2 changed its name to Mansfield Radio, with station bosses describing the appointment as another stage in its development.

The station says further announcements are planned, although details of those changes have yet to be revealed.
