Jeremy Kyle to leave TalkRadio Drive Time in favour of TV show

Jeremy Kyle is stepping down from his daily Drive Time show on TalkRadio/Talk TV to host a new “Prime Time” show on TalkTV/TalkRadio.

News UK says the show will sit alongside TalkTV shows from Tom Newton Dunn, Piers Morgan Uncensored and The Talk in the prime time segment, which is currently billed as 7pm till 10pm.

Until then, Jeremy will continue to host Drive Time, simulcast on TalkTV and TalkRadio, as well as guesting on The Talk at 9pm.

Jeremy Kyle said: “I’ve absolutely loved going back to my radio roots these last seven months. It’s been a lot of hard work but a lot of fun too – interviewing everyone from Jacob Rees-Mogg to Eddie The Eagle Edwards but also speaking to listeners every day about the things that mean most to them.

“The radio show has done really well but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want to host my own TV show too!”

Scott Taunton, EVP, President of Broadcasting, News UK said: “Jeremy Kyle is a consummate broadcaster. He has made a big impact since joining TalkRadio last year and I’m delighted that he has agreed to launch a new show on TalkTV, building out our prime time schedule later this year.”

News UK says it continues to hire new talent to join a schedule of prime time programming for the evenings with further announcements in the coming weeks.
