Sonifex sales manager retires after 49 years

Sonifex’s long-serving Sales Manager Eamonn Heffernan will retire at the end of March after 49 years with the broadcast equipment manufacturer.
Eamonn concludes his career on 31 March 2026, having joined the company in March 1977 and worked across testing, quality control and technical roles before moving into sales.
His background in audio electronics and product design meant he became a key technical contact for broadcasters, engineers and system designers, offering detailed advice and system guidance on Sonifex equipment.
Richard Butlin, Head of Sales, said: “49 years of continuous service with the same company is an achievement not many can claim. With such an exceptional length of service, Eamonn will be missed by his Sonifex colleagues, customers and many friends that he has made during his time in the Audio Industry.”
Marcus Brooke, CEO of Sonifex, said it had been “a genuine privilege” to work alongside Eamonn and praised his professionalism and product knowledge.
From 1 April, Eamonn’s accounts will transfer to Richard, who has worked with him for almost 40 years. Sonifex says the move is designed to ensure continuity of advice and support for customers.
The company has also appointed James Gross as Product and Audio Specialist. James joined the sales team in December and will focus on UK customer engagement, product demonstrations and support for distributors and dealers.
